The head office for MyHealth Magazine is located at the University of Ottawa, in Ottawa Canada. Although we work closely with hundreds of schools and community groups all over North America, we are closely affiliated with a number of key regional partners who assist us in delivering innovative and engaging health information to thousands of young people across North America.
University of Ottawa - Host Institution
MyHealth Magazine is formally located at the University of Ottawa, our host institution. The University of Ottawa is one of Canada's most research-intensive universities, with over 35,000 students and more than 1200 full-time professors in some 470 different programs. Working in partnership with a research-intensive institution reflects our commitment to continuous innovation while maintaining high academic standards. The University of Ottawa has played a pivotal role in fostering the development and continued success of the program.
IWK Health Centre - Regional Partner
The IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, has been our longest regional partner and is our co-founding institution. The IWK Health Centre provides quality care to women, children, youth and families in the Maritimes and beyond. The IWK is engaged in leading-edge research; works to promote healthy lifestyles for families; and supports education opportunities for health professionals and other learners.
Health Literacy Missouri - Regional and National US Partner
Health Literacy Missouri (HLM) promotes health literacy issues at the state and national level, working to effect policy change, inform stakeholders, and initiate and support grassroots and community activities. Health Literacy Missouri has functioned as our regional partner in Missouri, supporting the development of a fully functional US version of the magazine. Health Literacy Missouri also functions as our national broker in the US, working to identify and support other regional partners in delivering the program to schools and community groups in other states.
